In this day and age, most people fail to understand the inherent dangers in technology. As human beings, we pride ourselves in being so much more advanced and superior to all of the animal life forms on Earth. We are convinced that we are special. Could it be that we have really lulled ourselves into a place where agencies are taking advantage of us through technology. It’s hard to fathom, but take a look at the image above, and really think about what it is saying. Then, contemplate some statistics quoted by Pat Williams on a show recently while promoting his newest book. He states that over 50% of American homes don’t own a single book (including the Bible), over 60% of the world is illiterate. Now look at the picture again, and tell me how close we are to George Orwell’s novel 1984, or perhaps Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451? Just some food for thought.
